The Rythu Bandhu scheme, initiated by the Government of Telangana, aims to support farmers by providing investment assistance for agricultural and horticultural crops. With a budget of Rs.12,000 Crores allocated for the 2018-19 fiscal year, this scheme focuses on alleviating farmers from the burden of debt and preventing them from falling back into debt cycles. Through the Agriculture Investment Support Scheme, each farmer will receive Rs. 4,000 per acre per season to cover expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, and other field operations essential for crop cultivation. By prioritizing investment in agriculture, Rythu Bandhu not only enhances productivity and income for farmers but also safeguards against rural indebtedness.
